2021 NASCAR Cup Series® champion Kyle Larson proved he’s up to the task of defending his title by taking the victory in the second race of the 2022 season, the Wise Power 400 at Auto Club Speedway.
Driving the No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro for Hendrick Motorsports, Larson rallied from starting at the rear of the field due to unapproved adjustments pre-race. He worked his way to the lead on lap 167 and held off the pack to the checkered flag. It was Larson’s second career win at the California track and the 17th overall in his career.
Larson’s fans can now celebrate the Auto Club Speedway victory with the official raced-win die-cast from Lionel Racing. Built on Lionel Racing’s new NextGen tool, each die-cast recreates all the scuffs, markings, and confetti seen on Larson’s Camaro in Victory Lane.
