Chase Elliott® and the No. 9 team went to Chicago for the inaugural street race and left with a podium finish, though the strong result only told a part of the group's Windy City story. During Elliott’s qualifying laps, he made contact with the Turn 8 wall, which left his team with some damage that needed fixing for the race.
Due to that damage, the fan favorite Hooters Night Owl scheme on Elliott’s No. 9 received an updated look. The car was rewrapped with white accents to the traditional black scheme for the start of the race. Elliott started 26th and battled his way to the front throughout the race. En route to the third-place finish, Elliottt’s new-look car was covered in tape, dents, and dirt from his battles on the track.
Now, Lionel Racing is excited to offer the Raced Version 1:64 die-cast of Elliott’s No. 9 Hooters Chevrolet Camaro from the Chicago Street Course event. Built on Lionel Racing’s NASCAR Cup Series® Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro tool, this unique die-cast is available in a 1:24-scale replica that is available in two unique trim levels – an Action Racing Collectables (ARC) hood-open model and a fully die-cast ELITE version that is built with an opening hood and trunk. The ELITE die-cast also features a chassis pan that can be removed to reveal undercarriage detail. Each die-cast is built with Goodyear tires, a driver-side window net, hand-applied decals, and more.
