Jo Ann FernstromApril 16, 2024I have been a race fan since 1959. My first race was at the Orange County Speedway in Hillsboro North Carolina. A dirt road led to the track and there were few amenities. I saw a grudge match between the Pettys and the Bakers with Buddy Baker winning. Junior Johnson was amazing starting at the back and crashing several cars during the race. I’ve been a Jeff Gordon fan since he came on the scene. He was a different type of driver and made the races interesting. I have his book too. The forewords by Jeff Gordon, Rick Hendrick and Roger Penske show their respect for Ray. I love the down to earth way “Trophies and Scars” is written. So good, I don’t want it to end ….

EdApril 10, 2024I followed Jeff Gordon most of his career and this adds to his story. I'm only half way thru the book but so far it is great and can't wait to finish it. Excellent read.
