Thirty years after a Hendrick Motorsports car went to Victory Lane in the inaugural Brickyard 400, Kyle Larson scored a dramatic victory in the 30th edition of the crown jewel event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Larson, the driver of the No. 5 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports, played a masterful fuel strategy and stayed in front of the field through the final seven laps, including two Overtime restarts. As other contenders fell short of fuel in the closing circuits and others crashed behind him, Larson had just enough speed and fuel to cross the yard of bricks at the start-finish line first. The win came 30 years after Jeff Gordon scored the inaugural Brickyard 400 victory for the Hendrick organization, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2024.
This milestone Hendrick Motorsports victory can now be commemorated with the official Lionel Racing Indianapolis raced-win die-cast of Larson’s No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro. Built on Lionel Racing’s latest Chevy tool, each die-cast recreates all the scuffs and markings on Larson’s car in Victory Lane. Each 1:24-scale is available in two distinct trim levels – an Action Racing Collectables (ARC) hood-open model and a fully die-cast ELITE version that is built with an opening hood and trunk. The ELITE also boasts a chassis plate that can be removed to reveal authentic undercarriage detail. A smaller 1:64-scale die-cast is also on offer.
This historic win die-cast will be produced in a strictly limited edition. Order yours today!
