In a year that celebrates the accomplishments of Hendrick Motorsports over its 40 years of NASCAR competition, Alex Bowman and the No. 48 team will be honoring a legend responsible for many of those accolades.
During the Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR at Darlington Raceway, Bowman's No. 48 Chevy will turn back the clock to a paint scheme famously driven to dozens of victories by NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Jimmie Johnson. The same No. 48 livery that Johnson wheeled to Victory Lane 18 times between 2002 and 2005 will reappear on Bowman's Ally-backed No. 48 car during the Darlington Throwback weekend in May.
