Jeff Gordon wowed NASCAR fans when he rolled out a No. 24 paint scheme, dubbed FireStorm, that featured a new twist with the familiar flame and dayglo design that Gordon had been racing for several seasons before. The FireStorm look, which was designed by legendary motorsports artist Sam Bass, featured the signature fire-and flames atop an aggressively dark base.

Fast forward 15 years and Hendrick Motorsports driver will be paying homage to Gordon's FireStorm paint scheme with a special throwback look at Darlington Raceway in May. As part of the Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR, Byron's No. 24 Chevrolet and longtime team partner Axalta will turn back the clock with a tribute to Gordon's legendary FireStorm design.

Now, Gordon and Byron fans alike can celebrate this iconic throwback with a Lionel Racing die-cast of the No. 24 Axalta Throwback Chevrolet Camaro. Each die-cast of this Gordon tribute car is produced on Lionel Racing's latest Chevrolet NASCAR Cup Series tool. All 1:24-scale replicas are available in two unique trim levels an Action Racing Collectables (ARC) hood-open model and a fully die-cast ELITE version that is built with an opening hood and trunk. The ELITE die-cast also features a chassis pan that can be removed to reveal undercarriage detail. Each die-cast is built with retro Goodyear tires, a driver-side window net, hand-applied decals, and more. A Color-Chrome-plated model and a 1:64-scale die-cast are also on offer.
